Bad Weather and Travel Waivers Up the Wazoo!

I cannot believe how horrible the weather has been since last week Monday. There is a travel waiver in effect for the midwest, then a waiver for the northeast, and now a waiver for the west coast. Harsh winter storms are blowing in from everywhere and these travel waivers are constantly being extended as the bad weather worsens. Its been so bad that we have been slammed with overtime to meet the travel needs of our customers. I am thankful for overtime, but I feel so badly for these poor people stuck mid destination during the Christmas holiday season in this severe cold weather. Many have been stuck for days upon days at airports throughout our country. As bundled images of passengers huddled together at terminals flit across television news screens, I cannot help but feel tremendously grateful that I live in warm Hawaii with a job and a roof over my head. I am heading off to work to assist more traveling people in need! Pacific Woman to the rescue! LOLOL... Lord, please give me the strength, empathy, and patience I need to be of service to them all.

Go Pacific Woman and rescue those poor people. It's great that someone cares about those travelers who are stuck and not able to reach where their going.

The weather has been crazy and truly breathtaking. It hasn't really stop snowing since Wednesday of that's week. We're basically stuck because the plows can't keep up with all the snow removal. But we are blessed that we don't have to travel anywhere and Blake and the kids are on Christmas Break. We also blessed we are a warm home and we have food to eat.

Sounds like a good time to bust out the cocoa and marshmallows! :D Not to mention how good homemade cranberry scones would go along with that nice warm cocoa! LOL Keep warm and safe! <3 Siana

When I worked for Continental ... Weather days were the worst... Its funny now, when ever there is bad weather across the country, I think about all the people I used to work with and all the people stranded at airports yelling at them! LOL! Good Luck with work!

man I'm a little lame,I think I finally figured out where it is you work. LOL Do you know my friend Abby Beatty? Think she works there too!

I do feel sorry for people traveling, and think of the parents that are divorced and only get there kids on holidays and now the weather has prevented that. Another angle to the lives disrupted.

Hey Iwa, I know you know my pain! LOLOL Today was such a long day. Its like there is nothing available till days later and the question is repeated as if they did not hear my first answer. I don't blame them (travelers and loved ones at home trying to help). And its even harder when the answer is not the one people want to hear.

Hi Dee, yes Abby and I are friends. We go way back to the Kahuku Marching Band days. She was a flag girl and I was a tenor sax player :) I don't play any more, but we had a lot of fun on the band trips we took. She is such a cool person inside and out! From back then all the way till now. And she is an excellent baker! LOLOL Oatmeal cranberry cookies YUM! :) Why does it always go back to food with me? LOLOL I am such a basket case when it comes to that. ANYWAYS! LOLOL I can hardly wait to tell her I met you in blogland! LOLOL Ahhhhloha!
