Being Realistic (148 & 147)

I know... being realistic is not a lot of fun :) but it gets me right to the point and I am not one to fuss and muss. During this holiday season its not going to be about what I did or did not eat or when. Holiday celebrations are going on every where, and I am going to be a part of it. I want to be a part of it. I am an involved person. I like to be involved and interact with others around me and that means being an active partaker LOL I don't need to add any unnecessary pressure to myself. I do need to be more careful and aware of my daily decisions. I have to work harder. Time waits for no one and my time is quickly running out!

Our single adult service project was a success. We went Christmas caroling and handed out gift baskets to select individuals throughout our stake. It always feels great to do good deeds. It is such a natural high and it makes me want to strive to be a better person.

BEFORE: Happy and Joyful

AFTER: Ecstatic!!!!

Love the pics! Looks like it was a fun event.

Remember that we're not expected to be perfect instantly, it's a process :) Don't beat yourself up over not doing things perfectly. Make small steps that are permanent and you'll see the progress slowly adding up.

Try working on one thing at a time, like not eating after 7:30. Work on that and only that until it's a regular routine and you're not thinking about it anymore. Then try working on cutting back one snack per day, maybe it will take you a month to cut out that snack, but once it's gone...you're more likely to avoid it regularly.

This way you don't feel so overwhelmed with so many changes at once. I know you would like to achieve certain goals by your birthday, but healthy LIFE changes are more important in the long run and essential to your overall success.

Now that baby is here, I am going to start working on my weight loss, too. I've decided the first thing I can do is drink more water. I'm also working to keep all bad foods out of the house, then there is less temptation when I'm hungry and need food quick...if I surround myself with only healthy food then when I'm hungry I eat it. If I have the option of healthy or really indulgent tasty food, I never go for healthy...so I don't even want that stuff in my house!

Sorry this got so long, just wanted to send some encouragement!

I love the pictures...you're good (you know that right?). I've always thought of myself as a realist...seeing the big picture, but I've realized that sometimes looking at the big picture means you sort of miss the small things going on. Every little picture makes up the big picture. Enjoy life and be happy! :)

Hey Leslie Dee Amanda and Rita, Thanks for the thoughts and support I feel from you all. These past few days I have been thinking and I agree with you Amanda. I need to start with one thing I can accomplish. I got so gung ho and I know I still can be gung ho but for just one thing at a time. One step at a time. I am making my way down that path :) Thanks again for the support guys! I so appreciate it. Love, Siana
